The Fostering Information Line and its sister service The Adoption Information Line assists local authority social services departments and other agencies to recruit carers for the children they have identified as being in need of foster care or adoption placements.
We provide information and advice to members of the general public on all aspects of foster care and adoption. Even if you have only just started to think about fostering you can call to ask any questions you might have. Then you can think about it some more and if you decide you want to pursue the idea further contact us again.
We also help other organisations in this field to develop information about what they do for the internet.

Our trained help line staff provide on-the spot friendly advice to people considering fostering. We are here to help so don't feel reluctant in any way to call us.
If requested to do so, enquirers will be put in touch with a local agency who are seeking foster carers in their area. You can even ask us to do this over the internet by selecting "REGISTER" from the top of this page. It is really simple to do!
